Magnesium plate
WE series magnesium alloys are magnesium based with Gadolinium, Yttrium, Zinc and Zirconium. It covers WE43,WE54 and WE94.All those are high strength casting alloys which can be used in temperatures of up to 300oc (572of). The alloys have good mechanical properties coupled with excellent corrosion resistance. The alloys are widely applied in : Helicopter transmissions, power systems, aero-engines, sports cars, missiles.

Applications
Sheet and plate in AZ31B find application in medium strength service at temperatures below 150°C. Diverse uses including aerospace, aircraft, concrete tools, 3C (cell phone / camera / computer), speaker cones and textile machinery can all benefit from light weight AZ31B.
AZ31B is non-magnetic and has high electrical and thermal conductivity filling the requirements for RFI and EMI shielding in the electronics and computer industries.
Superplastic forming of AZ31B sheet at elevated temperatures allows production of a wide variety of intricate parts for automotive uses. Monocoque construction utilizing formed sheet can be adapted to many commercial applications.

The sheet and plate shall conform to the tensile requirements in above Table unless other agreement is made between seller and purchaser. Mechanical Properties for sizes and tempers not shown in above Table shall be as agreed upon by seller and purchaser.
SURFACE TREATMENT
All the normal chromating, anodizing, plating, and finishing treatment are readily applicable. AZ31B also responds well to plasma electrolytic oxidation finishing.
